Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - * if you like that you will like this ...
Just bought this...not so sure about it solely working on my JRT for her serious seperation anxiety and barking when I leave. It doesnt seem to make her sleep thats for sure- but what does! I have been training her for 2 weeks now by doing the combo- 1 hour long morning walk coupled with "Quiet" command and sit outside my door every morning for an hour occasionally treating her when she does not bark-and also giving her a kong filled w cheesewhiz... but this is a good addition to that routine....probably better than the tv. I wanted to recommend a 2 set CD called "piano dreams" ..very simular and something everyone here would enjoy if they liked this. Dog has the same reaction to these CDs. I wouldve given it more stars if it worked miracles- but I'm not that naive about any product working miracles for this puppy.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - * My 10 Schnauzers ...
I have 10 schnauzers and once in a while they need to relax and chill so all I do is pop in the dvd while they are napping and they seem to enjoy listening to the music. I know I do.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - * Calms My Minature Dachshund ...
I take my dog to work with me every day in her crate. Once we get in the car and the music starts, she calms down and sleeps on the drive. After awhile the music does annoy me because it is SOOOOOOOOO slow. I have noticed since using the CD that she seems to calm down when she also listens to Yanni's piano music even though there are strings with that music; still the CD I have is mostly piano and it's "peaceful" sounding. It's the piano that seems to do it.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - * Great Product! ...
My dog always freaks out during a thunder storm. But when we play the CD, he immediately calms down. The music is both relaxing to dogs and humans. Well worth the money!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - * Works well for humans, too ...
Most living creatures seem to respond to music in ways that often surprise and delight us. This CD, while designed and tested for canine reactions has the unanticipated side effect of calming us humans, too. Read the reviews and you will notice I am not alone in my appreciation of this CD's effect on people. While most reviewers seem to be dog owners who found their canine pets were relaxed by the piano music, I want everyone to know that this is a wonderful CD for bedtime...for people. In fact, it is far better than many of the CD's on the market that are touted to help people sleep. It is calming and apparently entrains the brain in ways that shut down the chatter. So the dogs sleep, and so do their humans, like contented children, all night long. When you buy it, you can always say you have a dog and no one will be any the wiser.

On her eighth studio album, Damita Jo--the title lifted from her middle name--Janet Jackson teams up with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis once again on what is perhaps the most feverish album in her two decade long career. Whether she's taking the listener on a torrid excursion in the four song island suite, or boasting of her sexual prowess on "Sexhibition's" word games lyrics, where she tells fans "relax, it's just sex," the singer tries hard--maybe too hard--to establish herself as a sexual avatar with portfolio. But in "Strawberry Bounce," she seems more like a pole dancer in stilettos than a social revolutionary, as she catalogs the way she plans to make her inamorato lose control, and she just sounds silly on "Moist," which extols the female orgasm. Instead, the best moments on the album are when Jackson comes off as saucy and winsome instead of a heavy breather, like on the down-tempo "Thinkin' Bout My Ex," her collaboration with Babyface, which seems lifted right out of her autobiography, and on the athletic Prince clone "Just A Little While." The title track is Jackson's own version of J-Lo's "Jenny On the Block," and she sounds just as insincere as Lopez when she tried to convince us that she was just an ordinary neighborhood diva. Instead, Janet’s much more persuasive when she joins up with hip-hop savant Kanye West on "My Baby," pairing her breathy, little girl vocals to his sharp, focused rap. Then and only then does Damita Jo sound like love can actually trump sex. --Jaan Uhelszki
