Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - * A Poor Man's Version Of \"Flaw\" ...
If you're at all familiar with the early 2000's hard-rock/metal band Flaw, you already know what FFDP are about. The single The Bleeding is practically a carbon copy of Flaw's Payback from Through The Eyes, with it's soft melodic verses and screamy hard hitting chorus. The two vocalists even sound somewhat alike, although Chris Volz (Flaw) is much more dynamic. It isn't just Flaw that FFDP are borrowing from, though. Traces of Slipknot and the like can be heard all throughout this ten track disc. And it's not just the fact that FFDP are generic either. I can deal with a less original sound, as long as it's done well. Most of the songs here seem to always fall short of reaching any sort of dynamic, either ending too soon in the chrous' or failing to ever take off. Quality is hard to come by, in Metal especially, and FFDP don't contribute anything here to change that. They're too brooding for the core kids, too generic for the metal purists, and simply aren't focused or accessible enough to keep the attention of fairweather listeners.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - * IN YOUR FACE ROCK!!!! ...
Never heard of this band until this year after hearing them on Sirius...Picked the album up & what brutal force...have I been missing something. From beginning to end,it just rocked my socks off...Every song is just hard hitting...Ashes,The Bleeding,A Place To Die,White Knuckles,Death Before Dishonor,Never Enough & Stranger Than Fiction are the standouts from the standouts...If you like in your face rock, this is what you want...To me,they kind of sound like Mudvayne and Killswitch Engage plus their own sound...See for yourself and get it now!!!!!!!!I rarely give an album 5 stars, but this is very close...

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - * heavy metal reborn! ...
This is a great first album! These guys are amazing. After listening to this album it left me wanting more. Just saw these guys live in town a few weeks ago and of course it rocked. Some artists are great studio musicians and sound off live, but these guys are the complete package. You'll really enjoy this debut album!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - * Solid,brutal,death punch ...
Make no mistake about it,Five Finger Death Punch is a perfect name for this band, and yes they ARE a metal band, period. The bands pedigree speaks for itself, and there is anough melody, brutality, diversity, and absolutely killer riffs and songwriting on this album to appease fans of all different genres, from hardcore to Maiden style melodic metal. If you have been lucky enough to catch these dudes live, you know what I mean when i say its a very visceral experience,Moody is an excellent frontman and the band is super tight, but the brutality and rawness is there. Thank God Ivan didnt decide to walk away from music altogether, and found kindred spirits in this extremely talented band. They are currently on tour with supporters In This Moment,Bury Your Dead, and the excellent new band Another Black Day,and when FFDP took the stage it was apparent to all inside in the Norfolk VA show: we were about to experience something special. Easily one of the best and tightest live bands Ive seen in a great while, and let me just say...at one point the pit was so fierce it looked like something out of a horror film...beautiful. What a great friggin time for metal. Buy this if you havent already and just listen. You will be glad you did.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - * My husband loves it! ...
I bought this as a "throw in" on my anniversary present to my husband. He had heard a few songs by them on the radio and really liked them, so I bought it. I like it as well. Very good original sounding band.

For those who haven't noticed (a group that apparently includes millions of Americans), the sport that we call soccer and the rest of the world calls football is big. Very big. And no one is bigger than Real Madrid, the subject of Real - The Movie. This is the soccer equivalent of the New York Yankees, a rich, perennially successful club that features many of the biggest stars in the world; as of 2005, when the film was released, players included England's David Beckham and Michael Owen, Brazil's Ronaldo and Roberto Carlos, Portugal's Luis Figo, and France's Zinedine Zidane (who notoriously head-butted an Italian opponent in the 2006 World Cup final). All of them can be seen in the quasi-documentary sections of the film, as Real prepares for a climactic match against rival Barcelona. Scenes of the players practicing, the coaches strategizing, and the match itself are well done, with crisp cinematography, occasional use of animation and other effects, and an overall kinetic feeling well suited to the sport. But director Borja Manso also wants Real - The Movie to explain to the uninitiated just what it is that makes Real such a big deal all around the world. To that end, he incorporates several personal (and fictional) stories: A Tokyo schoolboy distressed over his girlfriend's shrieking obsession with Beckham. A young Madrid history teacher who doesn't understand Real mania, and his neighbor, an elderly woman who's been unable to return to the stadium since her husband passed away. A Senegalese kid dying to go to soccer school. A teenage girl in New York who suffers a severe leg injury during a match and finds inspiration in Ronaldo's rehabilitation after a similar incident. Pretty standard stuff, by and large, and way too on-the-nose to be very compelling. Combine all of that with some newsreel footage from Real's early days and lots of throbbing, thrilling music, and it all amounts to a big, glossy valentine packaged as wholesome family fare. Nothing wrong with that--unless you're a Boston Red Sox fan. --Sam Graham

The Olsen twins are turning 16, and they're celebrating with this collection of party games and, you guessed it, driving lessons. The good news is that if you can help them get past the obstacles and pass the test, they'll take you out with their new driver's licenses to a variety of fun minigame activities, like rock climbing, riding Jet Skis, surfing, ATV quad racing, and shopping for clothes. Earn points in the party games and spend them to upgrade the car and unlock cool tunes and cooler outfits.

It's not very often that a game aims to be fun and realistic while instilling a sense of personal involvement and responsibility. Mary-Kate and Ashley: Winners Circle does that within the theme of horseback riding. Players compete in such equestrian events as dressage, jumping, and cross-country, and learn the basics of caring for a horse. The game offers a practice mode, which lets riders master the controls and explore a course before entering events, and an adventure mode with large forest and island levels where players can play minigames or just simply explore.
