Rating: - * Wonderful ... I could just kick myself. I've had this CD for nearly seven months and I'm just now getting around to listening to it. I haven't been feeling Jill Scott since her debut CD so I wasn't really expecting much-but WOW was I wrong. From the moment I hit play, I was grooving. Welcome back, Jill. You put your foot into this. Now I'm trying to make up for lost time and this CD remains on REPEAT. If you haven't bought or listen to this, you're definitely missing out. GREAT MUSIC. BUY THIS!!!! I am one of those people who gets boared with cd's after I have heard them so many times, but this is a true classic. I did not take this cd out of my car's cd player for 3 months. I listened to it every day I got in the car. Thanks to Amazon, you can listen to the samples and those alone are only introductions to the truely magnificant music Jill has made on this album. As always Jill Scott has delivered a scrumptous, delightful and insightful look into her world. For me, she is the modern day Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughn, Minnie Riperton and so many other stallworths of the industry. What can be said about this release from Jill Scott?? soulful, musically inspring, sexy...yes and so many other words. From start to finish Words and Sounds Vol. 3 is another excellent look to her life and she writes/sings them with such skill that you know its coming from the heart. A couple songs that i love are "Hate on Me" and "Wanna Be Loved". Also of note with purchasing this cd on Itunes i got a Live version of "Hate On Me"..which i love as much as the original. Excellent cd throughout and she continues to impress in all aspects. It is a worthy addition to your cd collection fan or not.
