Rating: - * THE GREATEST R&B/SOUL GROUP IN THE WORLD! ... I CAN ONLY DESCRIBE MY FEELINGS FOR THE MOMENTS AKA RAY GOODMAN & BROWN WITH ONE OF THEIR HITS CALLED "LIFE & BREATH." THE WORDS "I LOVE THEM" IS NOT ENOUGH. THIS CD (AND, I'M IS CONSTANT BUYING MODE OF EVERYTHING THEY HAVE THAT I CAN FIND & CONTINUE TO LOOK FOR) AND EVERY SONG THEY HAVE EVER RECORDED IS SENT STRAIGHT FROM HEAVEN ITSELF. THE TALENT OF AL GOODMAN, BILLY BROWN AND "THE LOVE OF MY FANTASY LIFE," HARRY RAY IS GOOD, FOR ME IT IS LIKE THOSE OF US WHO BELEIVE IN GOD AND GOING TO HEAVEN, WE HAVE NO IDEA WHAT HEAVEN IS LIKE, AND WHEN I LISTEN TO THEIR VOICES MY MIND, BODY AND SOUL ARE TRANSFORMED AND ONLY GOD HIMSELF KNOWS WHAT THIS IS LIKE. I AM THEIR BIGGEST FAN FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE, IT IS SO BAD, THAT I CAN'T EVEN LISTEN TO OTHER MUSIC. I'M CONSUMED, ADDICTED AND HOOKED ON THEM ALL! WITH THE PUREST LOVE FROM MY HEART. IN MY WILL UPON MY DEATH, IT WILL STATE THAT THE ONLY MUSIC ALLOWED TO BE PLAYED WILL BE SONGS FROM THE MOMENTS/RAY GOODMAN & BROWN. I LOVE HARRY RAY, AL GOODMAN AND BILLY BROWN FOREVER AND ALWAYS! LIFE & BREATH! Rating: - * Great Memories ... This kind of music takes me back to a time when men really expressed their love for women and this were some great times.Every song on this CD expressed that.I would recommend this CD to anyone who still believe in romance. Rating: - * moment to moments ... the moments are a strong example of chicago style soul and should be right next to the chi-lites, curtis mayfield, sylvia robinson and barbara acklin when talking about the chicago soul music movement. as a group, they were best at the ballad. they did two that are emblematic of the late 1960s and 1970s to my ears--the ultra-dramatic 'i found love on a two way street' and the timeless 'with you'. but they could also get out-and-out seductive with something like 'sexy mama' or 'not on the outside'. the lead singer's falsetto could peel skin off a snake it's so cool! they didn't swing it much. and if they did, the only sign of it is 'my thing', which worked for sylvia but not for them. it's too cooingly cute. Rating: - * Old Music ... Listening to this CD brought back sweet memories of the early 70's and when we use to have house parties with the blue lights in the basement! Those were the good old days! Rating: - * DON'T BOTHER ... This CD deserves a zero star rating. The engineering on this CD takes away any hope of enjoyment. The mixing is absolutely terrible. The group sounds as if they're trying to scretch out and shatter someone. This is an all-time group, but the quality control is AWOL. Love On A Two-Way Street is the only song that sounds decent, and yet... |
