How do you put together a soundtrack for a comedy about witches--'90s style? Well, if she's young and her name is Sabrina, you compile an album of relentless teen pop and R&B hits. But if your witches are a little more mature (and, perhaps, suburban), as in Practical Magic, you use a different formula. And the brew found here is actually a good mix: Faith Hill gets as much play (one track) as Nick Drake and Joni Mitchell. Mitchell's 'A Case of You' is simply great, and Bran Van 3000's 'Everywhere' fits the folk-pop mold nicely, as does upstart Michelle Lewis's 'Nowhere and Everywhere.' The guys are the oddities here: Elvis Presley's 'Always on My Mind' and Harry Nilsson's 'Coconut' give this disc some fun quirks. --Jim Young

Throughout the years, we have replaced them with new copies because someone "borrowed" it, we gave it to them, it was ''worn out from over playing" ..... or gave as gifts! IT IS THE BEST MOVIE AND CD EVER!!!! Uplifting, Fun, Moving Your Soul with a Light Fun Mood!!!! - Denver, Co. Rating: - * Excellent mood music ... One of the CD's I love to listen to over and over again. One song in particular is so steamy hot that I feel like taking a cold shower after I listen to it. Another song makes me long for a quiet romantic evening alone with the perfect man. Rating: - * Practical Magic movie ... Really a great movie! Saw it years ago when it first came out, and saw most of it on TV and had to buy it. It's one to watch more than once! Rating: - * Wonderful Witchy Tunes. ... "Practical Magic" is an awesome fantasy/ romantic story, and one of the best things about it is the music! I love every tune, esp. the Stevie Nicks and Joni Mitchell songs. Ethereal and romantic, and the score melody at the end is fantastic, too! I recommend it for anyone, but you'll enjoy it even more if you see the movie. "If You Ever Did Believe" at the beginning is a Stevie Nicks/ Sheryl Crow collaboration not found anywhere else. A must-hear! Rating: - * Music and Literature for everybody ... I loved this movie and the music is fantastic. Up and positive and fun and steamy and all the things you want to make u feel good about the music u listen to.
