Rating: - * Awesome CD ... Awesome album, one of Pepper's best! Very upbeat and puts you in a good mood. I love this CD! Rating: - * great ... this cd is great, its very mellow and it flows, worth it to buy it, no complaints about this cd Rating: - * New pepper cd, great music from great artists ... For starters, i am a huge pepper fan. But I do not think that you have to be a big fan to enjoy this or any of their other cd's. It is great for all occasions and all ages! Their latest cd "Pink Crustaceans and Good Vibrations" Is their best yet. Recently seeing them live got me completely excited for the cd, hearing it now just reminds me of what great artists and showmen they really are. The cd has a great sound - clearly showing their "kailua-kona" roots. The first song freeze will get you dancing no matter where you are. And "the phoenix, slave & blackout" while still pepper, is a nice change. So go buy it, its totally worth it, buy two and spread the good vibes! My favorite cd this year - A+ Rating: - * GREAT CD for the PEPPER LOVER ... Im a HUGE HUGE pepper fan and I was initially apprehensive that I wouldnt take to the new CD as much as I have the older ones since Ive been rocking out to them for so long...but PC & GV is a GREAT addition and it totally exceeded my expectations!!! The different sounds are amazing and its a must have!!! join PEPPERS STREET TEAM at www.fancorps.com/pepper tell them AL sent ya! Rating: - * Peppers best yet... ... Alright, this album is everything Pepper has worked so hard to become...if you were disappointed with "No Shame" or your new to Pepper get in your car and go buy this album, you'll love it.. heres a quick run down... 1. Freeze- tight opening track, Kaleos vocals are the best they've ever been, good party/dance/jam song.gets you going for the rest of the album. 2. Davey Jones Locker- this is my least favorite song on the record, its some what catchy but just doesnt do it for me. 3.Things That You Love- Great love song, very catchy, good rhythm, great vocals, you'll catch yourself singing it. 4.Wet Dreams- This song is good evidence of Peppers evolving stlye, caught me off guard after "things that..." i like it though..good pop rock song. 5. Love 101- cool song, nice blend of old/new pepper (which they do throughout the album). 6.Lucy- this song has been in Peppers songbook for a while, it was featured on "to the max" their b-side album.newer version, well produced i still like the original better..slower song about a barfly. 7.Musical 69- the title describes it very well, sorta funky, fun song. 8.Pheonix- awesome song, maybe my favorite, very dramatic, well written. 9.Do Something- the albums party song, reminds me of red hot chili peppers a little bit.. 10.Slave- good song, nothing special..leave it at that.. 11.Ambition- this song grew on me really quick, id call it classic pepper.. 12.Stand and Fall- another pop rock song about friendship, good song. 13. Blackout- cool song, really different from any other pepper song, its fun I like it. pepper meets nada surf and the minutemen. 14.Drive- second favorite on the album, good reggae song, catchy lyrics. Plain and simple- you can put this album in (new to pepper or not) listen to it clear through and like it. from that point all the songs will grow on you, until youve listened to it so much your laying on the floor foaming from the mouth...good comeback from "No Shame" |

But don't worry, there's plenty of wizardry and action in Goblet of Fire. When the deadly Triwizard Tournament is hosted by Hogwarts, Harry finds his name mysteriously submitted (and chosen) to compete against wizards from two neighboring academies, as well as another Hogwarts student. The competition scenes are magnificently shot, with much-improved CGI effects (particularly the underwater challenge). And the climactic confrontation with Lord Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes, in a brilliant bit of casting) is the most thrilling yet. Goblet, the first installment to get a PG-13 rating, contains some violence as well as disturbing images for kids and some barely shrouded references at sexual awakening (Harry's bath scene in particular). The 2 1/2-hour film, lean considering it came from a 734-page book, trims out subplots about house-elves (they're not missed) and gives little screen time to the standard crew of the other Potter films, but adds in more of Britain's finest actors to the cast, such as Brendan Gleeson as Mad-Eye Moody and Miranda Richardson as Rita Skeeter. Michael Gambon, in his second round as Professor Dumbledore, still hasn't brought audiences around to his interpretation of the role he took over after Richard Harris died, but it's a small smudge in an otherwise spotless adaptation. --Ellen A. On the DVD
The highlight of the two-disc set is a half-hour conversation with actors Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint. They discuss their reactions to the film and other topics with British writer Richard Curtis . Then they answer questions from contest-winning fans, such as what are their favorite kids' books (Watson bypasses the obvious answer in favor of Roald Dahl and Philip Pullman) and what scenes are they looking forward to in upcoming films. More routine extras include the "Reflections on the Fourth Film" featurette (14 min.), though it has comments from some of the other young cast members, and "Preparing for the Yule Ball" (9 min.). The 10 minutes of additional scenes are mostly skulking and skullduggery, plus a long musical number from the ball. The remaining material is grouped along the lines of the Triwizard Tournament, with behind-the-scenes looks at each of the competitions (about 22 min. total), two longer featurettes on He Who Must Not Be Named (11 min.) and the workday of the other contestants (Robert Pattinson, Stanislav Ianevski, and Clémence Poésy, 13 min.), and four games, playable with the directional arrows on the remote control, that can be frustrating to figure out. --David Horiuchi
