From the the soulful start to the rocking finish, this CD will hook you on all tracks. The band is tight and is the perfect vehicle to showcase Duffy's sound. Not only is this CD fun to listen to, it will have you tapping your toes - unless you are up and dancing! I have had the rare honor and privilege of hearing Duffy Bishop and her band perform live. So I was curious to see if the amazing energy and emotion that she brings to her live performance would possibly translate to her new CD - Ooh Wee. I was not disappointed and would highly recommend it. From the first time I heard Duffy sing, I knew she was something special. Not "just" a singer, but one with a tremendously versatile singing voice - from impossibly low tones that make you tremble to powerful heights that bring out the goosebumps. She can sing with wild, emotional abandon, yet total musical control. When Duffy Bishop sings, you believe what this woman is singing. She is backed by a phenomenal band on this CD - fantastic guitar, piano and Hammond organ solos and backup abound throughout. Tight and rich vocal background harmonies on Act Right, You're Gonna Make Me Cry and I'm Blue make you want to listen again and again. You find your whole body movin' to Alley Cat and Rock House. Buy this CD - it's a great one. Rating: - * Amazing ... Ooh Wee! is awesome from beginning to end. You will be swept away by Duffy's soulful vocals on Combination for Love and Ain't No Use.
