: : Destiny's Child began in 1990 as a novelty act aimed at teenagers. But they exceeded all expectations, both commercially and artistically, becoming a platinum-selling, multi-Grammy-winning sensation and attracting fans from all age groups and backgrounds with their dulcet, feisty-fresh harmonies and message of sisterly solidarity delivered with plenty of keep-it-real and love-over-all. Beyoncé Knowles, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams -- LaTavia Roberson and LeToya Luckett left early on -- have broken ranks to devote themselves to their individual careers so the end of an era has been accomplished. But this collection is a bonanza for new fans and completists, capturing the band's ...

: :By now it's safe to surmise that as long as there are hits, there'll be Now That's What I Call Music! compilations. The ninth collection in the ultra-successful series serves up pure pop, mainstream R&B, and radio-ready rock in a vibrant, smartly sequenced mix. Here those who're likely just passing through the charts on their way to obscurity rub shoulders with transcendent talents on the level of Mary J. Blige and U2. But that's part of the charm of these sets. Who knows where Petey Pablo will be in five years, but it's safe to say his rambunctious 'Raise Up' will still be ...

: :The fourth in the series of Top 40-tracking compilations strikes a good balance between pop radio played-to-death singles, R&B standouts, and straight-up rock chart stormers. The beginning of the disc is packed with requisite teen pop; however, the Britney Spears offering '(You Drive Me) Crazy' will probably disappoint those who were hoping for the more recent 'Oops!... I Did It Again'). This disc, where the Italian group Eiffel 65's dance-pop smash 'Blue (Da Ba Dee)' lives in the same space as Blink 182's 'All the Small Things,' Ben Harper's 'Steal My Kisses,' and Macy Gray's 'I Try,' is like channel surfing during drive-time radio ...

by: The Click Five

:Album Description:Greetings from Imrie House collects 11 timeless power-pop confections, odes to both the good, clean and naughtily winking sorts of fun. They capture the former in the sunny tones of the artfully sleek first single 'Just The Girl,' and the shimmering 'Catch Your Wave' (which layers Beach Boys-styled harmonies atop a contagiously jittery new wave melody) and dive into the latter on the young lovers lust-fest 'Friday Night.' And to prove those pop history lessons stuck with 'em, they even include a cover of the Tommy James classic 'I Think We're Alone Now,' done up new wave style.

: :Smartly programmed and laden with hits from the first half of 2001, the seventh entry in the Now compilation series is a more-than-agreeable, summer-party soundtrack. Moving from up-tempo pop/R&B to various stripes of hip-hop (including a snapping Neptunes remix of Backstreet Boys''The Call') to three draggy ballads you can easily program out to reminders from Aerosmith, Lifehouse, Evan and Jaron, and American Hi-Fi that guitars still exist, this disc is one of the strongest Nows yet. With the high-quality likes of 'Jaded,' Janet Jackson's 'All for You,' Nelly's 'Ride wit Me!' (heavily edited for language), and Mystikal's 'Danger (Been So Long)' on tap, ...

: :If, to your way of the thinking, a Brooklyn double-dutch tournament has about as much business inhabiting the wonderful world of Disney as a fairy-princess documentary does the ESPN Zone, you've got a lot of catching up to do. With High School Musical and now Jump In!, the Disney Channel is doing for tweens what John Travolta and Olivia Newton John did a generation ago with Grease: rallying them behind an exceptionally digestible drama, and upping the appeal by patching in songs with more sticking power than a five-pack of Hubba Bubba. Musically, Jump In! picks up where 'Get'cha Head in the Game,' ...

:Album Description:Soundtrack for a movie from the Executive Producers of High School Musical. A musical romantic comedy set at a mall and focused on the relationship between two young musicians and their respective personal and professional struggles. The American Mall is the story of Ally, a hardworking young woman whose mother owns a music shop that is the soul of the mall. Ally's singer/songwriter ambitions seem to come closer to fruition when she meets Joey, a musician who's moonlighting as a janitor in order to support his own rock star dreams. While Joey understands her songs (and heart) like no one else, Ally's ...

: :Back in 2004, when JoJo was 13 and seemed entirely too much like a character out of the parent-scaring movie Thirteen, nobody, not even her mom, could have guessed she had a disc as good as The High Road in her. What a difference a couple of years and a squadron of slicker-than-thou producers make. Beyond the addictive but not over-the-top radio hit 'Too Little Too Late,' The High Road is littered with pit stops both elegant (the dreamy-sweet ballad 'Exceptional,' the angsty, soulful 'How to Touch a Girl,' and the introspective 'Note to God') and shoulder-shimmyingly fun (the sexy-funky R&B tease 'This ...

Wimbledon: The 2004 Official Film features the championship runs of Roger Federerer and Maria Sharapova. While beating Andy Roddick was just another day at the office for the top-ranked Federerer, Russian teen Sharapova turned heads by offering a fresh new face on the women's tour, and it didn't hurt a bit that the face looked like that of a model--"Anna Kournikova with a title," she was quickly dubbed. Other moments of the fortnight captured here include Goran Ivanesevic's farewell, the scoring controversy that might have cost Venus Williams a match, and--because this is a British production--Tim Henman's latest attempt to keep the Wimbledon crown at home. At only 52 minutes, however, there's not a whole lot of time to devote to actual game footage, and the camera has a dizzying habit of cutting to a close-up of a player in the middle of a point, making it hard to follow the action. The short running time makes Wimbledon: The 2004 Official Film feel somewhat like a relic from the VHS days, but it certainly looks good in anamorphic widescreen. --David Horiuchi

The Olsen twins are turning 16, and they're celebrating with this collection of party games and, you guessed it, driving lessons. The good news is that if you can help them get past the obstacles and pass the test, they'll take you out with their new driver's licenses to a variety of fun minigame activities, like rock climbing, riding Jet Skis, surfing, ATV quad racing, and shopping for clothes. Earn points in the party games and spend them to upgrade the car and unlock cool tunes and cooler outfits.

It's not very often that a game aims to be fun and realistic while instilling a sense of personal involvement and responsibility. Mary-Kate and Ashley: Winners Circle does that within the theme of horseback riding. Players compete in such equestrian events as dressage, jumping, and cross-country, and learn the basics of caring for a horse. The game offers a practice mode, which lets riders master the controls and explore a course before entering events, and an adventure mode with large forest and island levels where players can play minigames or just simply explore.
