: :Includes CD, Case, Artwork!! Minor Scratches. Great Buy! Fast 1st Class Shipping!! :Alan Jackson, the 1990s' preeminent tradition-based singer, kicked up a fuss at the 1999 CMA Awards over the Country Music Association's cavalier treatment of George Jones. That same deep, abiding reverence for the past clearly inspired this collection of oldies, all of them Jackson's personal favorites. Many choices aren't surprising, such as the 1967 Jim Ed Brown barroom anthem 'Pop a Top,' Merle Haggard's 'My Own Kind of Hat' and 'The Way I Am,' Don Williams's 'It Must Be Love,' the 1963 George Jones hit 'Revenooer Man,' Hank Williams Jr.'s ...

: :He sings straight, writes songs without a half dozen Music Row hacks pitching in their two cents, and keeps the music basic. On Drive, Jackson mixes wistful visions with satire, sorrow, and eloquence, using old cars--'Drive (For Daddy Gene)'--to explore growing up and, on 'Work in Progress,' spoofing a woman obsessed with 'improving' her man. As usual, he explores love's joy ('When Love Comes Around') and anguish ('The Sounds'). His flair for thoughtful, evocative expression reaches its zenith with his classic September 11 commentary 'Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning),' included in both the studio version and the song's live debut ...

: :Swaddled in the usual twang and spiced up by Stuart Duncan's sparkling mandolin and fiddle, Jackson continues his endless exploration of joy and sorrow tempered by his guileless humility. As usual, his originals provide the most power. The joy of 'Too Much of a Good Thing' contrasts with the throbbing sense of loss found on 'Rainy Day in June.' Too cute and transparent for its own good, 'USA Today' pales (though the publishers surely loved the plug) next to the finely honed laments 'If French Fries Were Fat Free' and 'You Don't Have to Paint Me a Picture.' The latter, with the line ...

: :You don't have to get very far into Alan Jackson's splendid second anthology of hits before you're struck by how well the rangy Georgian has built his catalogue and how beautifully Keith Stegall continually produces his songs, filling the instrumental breaks with unexpectedly creative solos. While Jackson's choice of cover songs is usually inspired ('Pop-A-Top,' 'Little Bitty'), he's a deft writer, alternating his tongue-in-cheek, Sheriff Andy Taylor persona with his 'just a singer of simple songs' earnestness, lacing it all with an unfettered delivery and a Haggardesque dedication to the bedrock honky-tonk sound. There are times when he edges too close to formula, ...

: :Includes CD, Case, Artwork!! Sticker on plastic case. Minor Scratches. Great Buy! Free Fast 1st Class Shipping!! :Because his singing is solid but unremarkable, Alan Jackson tends to be only as good as his song selection. So on several tracks here--his own composition 'Buicks To The Moon,' for example, or Tom T. Hall's slighter-than-it-fancies-itself 'Little Bitty'--he isn't exactly sunk by clunky metaphors and cliched arrangements, but he can't rise above them either. However, on the title track here, and on the searing, twangy power ballad 'Between The Devil And Me,' he's as good as he's ever been. Which is very good indeed. ...

Wimbledon: The 2004 Official Film features the championship runs of Roger Federerer and Maria Sharapova. While beating Andy Roddick was just another day at the office for the top-ranked Federerer, Russian teen Sharapova turned heads by offering a fresh new face on the women's tour, and it didn't hurt a bit that the face looked like that of a model--"Anna Kournikova with a title," she was quickly dubbed. Other moments of the fortnight captured here include Goran Ivanesevic's farewell, the scoring controversy that might have cost Venus Williams a match, and--because this is a British production--Tim Henman's latest attempt to keep the Wimbledon crown at home. At only 52 minutes, however, there's not a whole lot of time to devote to actual game footage, and the camera has a dizzying habit of cutting to a close-up of a player in the middle of a point, making it hard to follow the action. The short running time makes Wimbledon: The 2004 Official Film feel somewhat like a relic from the VHS days, but it certainly looks good in anamorphic widescreen. --David Horiuchi

The Olsen twins are turning 16, and they're celebrating with this collection of party games and, you guessed it, driving lessons. The good news is that if you can help them get past the obstacles and pass the test, they'll take you out with their new driver's licenses to a variety of fun minigame activities, like rock climbing, riding Jet Skis, surfing, ATV quad racing, and shopping for clothes. Earn points in the party games and spend them to upgrade the car and unlock cool tunes and cooler outfits.

It's not very often that a game aims to be fun and realistic while instilling a sense of personal involvement and responsibility. Mary-Kate and Ashley: Winners Circle does that within the theme of horseback riding. Players compete in such equestrian events as dressage, jumping, and cross-country, and learn the basics of caring for a horse. The game offers a practice mode, which lets riders master the controls and explore a course before entering events, and an adventure mode with large forest and island levels where players can play minigames or just simply explore.
